KATHERINE  WILLIAMSON

Coloratura Soprano Katherine Williamson is a young opera singer and graduate of The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.


During her studies Katherine was awarded the Drapers’de Turckheim Scholarship and was selected to participate in the mentor scheme at The Royal Opera House in partnership with Trinity Laban.  She was also the recipient of the Douglas Memorial Prize for Opera and The Donald Webster Prize (The Rotary Club).


Most recent and future engagements include 1st Spirit The Magic Flute for Mid Wales Opera, Nora Riders To The Sea for Midsummer Opera, Nannetta Falstaff for Lambeth Orchestra, Oscar (Cover) Un Ballo in Maschera for Midsummer Opera, Grisette The Merry Widow for Ryedale Festival Opera, 1st Spirit (Papagena (Cover) The Magic Flute for Young Opera Venture, Woodpecker, Frog and Cockerel The Cunning Little vixen for The Zezere Arts Festival, Portugal.


Concert and Oratorio appearances include Vivaldis   Ostra Picta and Gloria for Corsely Festival Choir, Handels   Dixit Dominus for The Zezere Arts Festival, Portugal. Katherine has also performed with The Philharmonia Chorus at The Royal Albert Hall screening of Gladiator and at Easter at King’s in collaboration with Kings College Cambridge and BBC Radio 3.
